Betsy: The word about Nestle is getting out, but they're not standing still. I've seen evidence they're cranking up their PR machine - both by themselves and through unattributed proxies.

It's also interesting that the two opponents had to somehow justify their existence "have you profited from your anti-Nestle activities" when Nestle's Palais wasn't asked how many people in town Nestle's paying to advocate for them.

I know of at least two people on the Nestle payroll who have written pro-Nestle letters to the local paper, yet they weren't identified as such.

I am encouraged that people all over the U.S. are getting the word out about Nestle. Nestle goes into rural areas and entices the locals with the promises of jobs and a few bucks. Once they establish a footprint, it is a gigantic, costly uphill battle to get Nestle out. I sincerely hope that the people of McCloud are able to realize this and to also be aware that people can and have been "bought" to spread the "good word" of Nestle. Those of us who have been fighting Nestle in McCloud since 2003, have dedicated ourselves without any compensation. Can you say that about those who "spread the word" on behalf of Nestle?
